Security forces destroy Maoist camp in Odisha

In Odisha, security forces have destroyed a Maoist camp, and seized several weapons and explosive devices, during a joint combing operation in a jungle in Malkangiri district. Quoting police source our correspondent reports that acting on a tip-off, the elite anti-naxal Special Operations Group (SOG) force of Odisha and police launched combing operations and spotted the camp in Tekguda forest under Kalimela area. The Police said though the rebels fled from the scene on getting information about the operations, police seized three electronic detonators, more than 200 metres of wire used for landmines, two country-made rifles and many live cartridges from the spot. The official added that a camera flash and some Maoists posters and leaflets were also seized.
