Security forces deploy in UP in view of Jat agitation

In Uttar Pradesh, security forces have been deployed in sensitive areas to maintain law and order in view of Jat agitation. Jat agitators have threatened to snap road and rail links to Delhi if their demands for reservation in central government jobs under OBC quota are not concede. A police spokes person said in Lucknow additional forces have been deployed at Ganga Canal in Ghaziabad district to ensure undisrupted water supply from there to the national capital. Provincial Armed Constabulary has been deployed at Aligarh, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Ghaziabad, Mathura, Saharanpur, Meerut and Baghpat. Meanwhile, Dharna near Kafurpur railway station in Jyotiba Phule Nagar is continuing at a school campus under Jat Arakshan Sangharsh Samiti. Agitatotrs had cleared the railway tracks after 15days on March 19 after the high court intervened.
