Security forces bust militant hideouts in J&K

In Jammu and Kashmir, security forces today busted two militant hideouts in Reasi and Kishtwar districts and recovered a huge quantity of arms and ammunition. Police said, acting on a tip off, State Police launched a search operation in Ghajna forest area near Arnas in Mahore tehsil of district Reasi and recovered arms and ammunitions from the hideout believed to be of Hizbul Mujahideen. SSP Reasi, K.R Chourasia told AIR that the recoveries include two Pika guns, an AK 47, an SLR and a 303 gun, 25 detonators, 10 grenades, two magazines, over 550 rounds, an IED battery and some miscellaneous items.A huge cache of arms and explosives was also recovered from a cave hideout busted by the Army and the Police in Chankote forests of Kishtwar district this morning which includes two double barrel guns, a Chinese hand grenade, six detonators, 30 AK rifle rounds, 2 other rounds of .9mm ammunition.
