In Jammu and Kashmir, security forces busted a militant hideout and recovered a huge cache of arms and explosives during a combing operation in Mahore region of Reasi district on Saturday. According to Deputy Superintendent of Police (Operations) Gourav Mahajan, acting on a tip off, army and state police launched a joint operation in the Chhaperan Nallah of Hajam Nagar forest of Mahore and came across a militant hideout in the dense jungles. From the hideout security forces recovered one 12 bore rifle, 101 Pika rounds, 172 AK rounds, 78 INSAS rounds, one IED circuit with battery, 6 rifle cylinders, 61 detonators, four INSAS magazines, three Chinese grenades, one wireless set and 45 pencil cells. According to Dy. SP Operations, this is the biggest ever recovery of arms and ammunition in the region for the last one year and a major success for the security forces. Talking to AIR Correspondent he said that with this recovery, the last hideout of Hizbul Mujahideen and the hidden cache of weapons have been busted in the region. However no one has been arrested in this matter so far.
