In Assam, security forces have arrested four suspected militant of National Democratic Front of Bodoland, NDFB, today at Paaneri Police station in Udalguri district. Acting on a tip off, security forces also recovered four AK-A7 rifles and ammuniations. Official sources in Guwahati said that, following state government’s instruction, police and army have intensified operation to seize all illegal arms and explosives across the state. Police also picked up two for questioning in this connection. Maximum alert has already been sounded in the state in the wake of possible threat of anti-talk faction of ULFA.
