Security checks tightened on cargo at Yemen airports

In Yemen, the National Committee for Civil Aviation Security took further controls and procedures to confront development of terror methods with reference to the two suspicious packages detected in Dubai and the United Kingdom recently.According to Yemen’s official news agency, Sabanet, the committee approved application of unusual check methods on outgoing packages from Yemeni airports in a way to ensure security of civil aviation. The committee also affirmed the significance to continue intelligence information exchange among concerned security systems in all intended countries to be in a proper position to combat terrorism actively and promptly.Meanwhile, authorities in Yemen freed a woman held on suspicion of involvement in a plot to send parcel bombs on U.S.-bound planes after her arrest sparked protests by her fellow students.
