Security beefed up in UP

In Uttar Pradesh, security has been beefed up and patrolling intensified in the border areas of three districts of Sonebhadra, Chandauli and Mirzapur following the recent Maoist attacks in West Bengal and Bihar.<br/><br/>Quoting official sources, AIR Lucknow correspondent reports that special focus is on preventing the entry of any Maoist in the state. The Police and Para military forces have stepped up their security arrangements to foil any evil design of the banned outfit in the state. Six companies of CRPF and 13 companies of Provincial Armed Constabulary of state police have already been deployed to maintain law and order in these areas besides creation of Basuheri police out post in Sonbhadra district on the Chhattisgarh-Jharkhand border.<br/><br/>Additional Director General of Police Law and Order Brij Lal has said that authorities are also in touch with the neighboring states of Bihar, Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh in sharing intelligence inputs over the Maoist activity.
