Security beefed up in Kochi following intelligence reports

In Kerala, police have stepped up security measures in Kochi following intelligence reports that Indian Mujahideen is planning a terrorist attack on the city within the next few days.<br/>The city has been put on high alert and police have tightened security measures at all strategic locations.<br/>Police are checking vehicles at all entry points to the city and are keeping a close watch on lodges, airport, railway stations and bus stands.<br/>Coastal security has also been beefed up in coordination with the Navy and the Coast Guard.<br/>The Indian Mujahideen's attack plan came to light following the interrogation of one of its activist Salman Ahmed, who was arrested in UP recently.
