In Uttar Pradesh, security has been beefed up in Faizabad and Ayodhya since last evening. The City Superintendent of police of Faizabad Mr. Anil Kumar Rai told AIR Allahabad correspondent that security forces are patrolling the streets in Faizabad and Ayodhya. The movement of people and vehicles are being thoroughly checked at all the entry points towards Ayodhya. The Ram Janambhoom Premises and other temples have already been put under high vigilance of security forces. A local resident of Faizabad told our correspondent that despite presence of Police and Central Police Forces everywhere in the area, life is normal and several schools are open. The police sources said that the classes could not be resumed only in those schools where security forces are camping for last several days. More than Forty companies of Paramilitary forces and an equal number of District Armed police have already been deputed throughout Ayodhya and Faizabad for more than a week .Five thousand Home Guards are also assisting the police forces .The State police personnel from neighboring districts are also deployed in both the cities.
