In Assam, security has been stepped up across the North Cachar Hill District in view of the 36-hour District Bandh call by Dimasa people’s council, All Dimasa Student’s Union, Dimaraji Revival Demand Committee and other organisations from five on Tuesday morning. Additional security personnel have been deployed in markets, Railway stations, bus stands and other vulnerable places of the district.<br/><br/>The call for the Bandh is given by the organisations in support of their demand for setting up of Dimaraji state comprising of North Cachar Hills, parts of Karbi Anglong, Cachar, Nagaon of Assam and Dhansiri in Nagaland.<br/>
