Maoists have called 48 hour Jharkhand bandh from today. They are demanding to produce their Zonal Committee leader Ashok Mahto before the court and media as they allege that the police has arrested him. The State Police spokesperson V.H. Deshmukh told AIR that the Ranchi police had not arrested Maoist leader. So, no question arises to produce him before court. <br/><br/>Maoists blew up railway track between Dania and Jageshwar Bihar Railway Station under Dhanbad Rail Division. Rail traffic on this track has been badly paralysed following blowing up of railway track.<br/>Tight security arrangements have been made throughout the state in view of bandh. A massive combing operation has been launched in sensitive areas. <br/>
