Security apparatus overhaul underway to stop Kaiga like incidents: Chavan

Overhauling of the security apparatus is underway in the nuclear plants across the country to stop Kaiga Atomic plant like incidents.<br/><br/>Sharing the concern of the members during clarifications in the Rajya Sabha Thursday evening, on the incident, the minister of state in the PMO Mr. Prithviraj Chavan said that CCTV's are being installed at all sensitive palaces in the atomic power stations. He conceded that the lapse at the Kaiga atomic power plant was a security lapse.<br/><br/>Earlier making identical statements on the incident in the two houses of Parliament, the minister said internal hand is involved in this lapse and an enquiry has been ordered to look into this. <br/>The minister gave the details of the steps taken by the government for immediate medical attention to those working in the plant and were taken ill after consuming contaminated water. He informed that all of them are now attending normal duties and none of them is hospitalized.
