Several members in the Rajya Sabha today complained that a section of media is blocking the positive news by highlighting negative side of it. Raising the issue in the House, Naresh Agrawal of the Samajwadi Party said yesterday's short duration discussion on electoral reforms in the House, was totally blocked.<br/><br/>Sharad Yadav of the Janata Dal (U) said media management is controlled by capitalists. Anand Sharma of the Congress alleged that constructive discussions are totally blocked and only negative things are highlighted. Taking note of the situation, Deputy Chairman P J Kurien recalled, in a lighter vein, the saying that if a dog bites man, it is no news. If a man bites dog, it is news. He reminded the members that media is fourth pillar of democracy and they should be responsible for honest and true reporting.
