Congress MP Shashi Tharoor's private member's bill seeking to amend Section 377 of the Indian Penal Code to decriminalise consensual sex between adults, regardless of sexuality or gender was voted down in the Lok Sabha today. <br/><br/>The Indian Penal Code (Amendment) Bill,2015 moved by Shashi Tharoor in the House was defeated. 71 members voted against it and 24 in its favour. Later, Mr Tharoor tweeted that he will try to garner support and reintroduce the bill in Parliament in the future.
