Secretary Youth Affairs and Sports reviews arrangements for upcoming Y20 Pre-Summit in Ladakh

<span style="color: #222222;">Secretary Youth Affairs and Sports Meeta Rajivlochan reviewed the ongoing arrangements with the UT Ladakh Administration and other stakeholders including representatives of the G-20 Secretariat for the upcoming Youth20 (Y20) Pre-Summit.<br />''<br />''Ladakh is preparing to host the Y-20 Pre-summit from April 26th to 28th at Leh under the aegis of the G-20 India Summit. During the three-day event, about 200 youth delegates from G-20 members, guest countries, and international organisations are expected to attend the Y-20 pre-summit in Ladakh.<br />''<br />''In the review meeting, discussions were held about the programs to be showcased during the summit. Smt. Rajivlochan stressed the involvement of local youth from various backgrounds, such as sports, entrepreneurship, art, and medicine, in various activities.<br />''<br />''Apart from G-20 theme-based activities, the decision to create an introductory video on Ladakh with highlights focusing on economic growth through broadened entrepreneurial opportunities for the youth in the fields of handloom, handicraft, and food processing was also taken.<br />''<br />''The meeting also stressed on proper medical emergency arrangements and a proper briefing on Ladakh's high altitude health advisory by the medical team to the delegates prior to their visit to Ladakh.<br />''Earlier, the Secretary visited and inspected the arrangements at Sindhu Sanskriti Kendra, the main venue of the summit, and the hotels where the guests shall be accommodated.<br />''<br />''The G-20 Committee, Ladakh Chairman, and Principal Secretary to the UT Administration, Sanjeev Khirwar, led by the commissioner secretaries of Ladakh, have briefed the union secretary about the various events and initiatives under the G20 theme.<br />''<br />''The Secretary, Rajivlochan, inquired about the run-up events being conducted by the educational departments and stated that activities must pick up pace 15 days ahead of the summit.<br />''She further stressed that spots will be reserved for students, based on their performance in the run-up events, who will be felicitated during the summit, to ensure local participation.</span><br />
