The second Vishwa Marathi Sahitya Sammelan concluded in Dubai last night with closing address delivered by Veteran Marathi litterateur Mangesh Padgaonkar and the President of All India Marathi Sahitya Mahamandal, Kautik Rao Dhale Patil.<br/><br/>Organised by the Maharashtra Mandal, Dubai, the sammelan was chaired by Veteran Marathi litterateur Mangesh Padgaonkar, while famous Marathi authors Shankar Abhyankar, Chandra kant Patil, Dr. Vidya Devdhar, Suresh Khare and Kishore Kadam were among others who attended the three day conference.<br/><br/>The organiser of the event and President of Maharashtra Mandal, Dubai, Mrs. Sanjivani Patil told Prasar Bharti in Dubai that during the three day meet a number of literary events including, Kavi sammelan, discussions on literature including Sant literature and Drama were organised. She added that apart from other things, the sammelan was aimed at connecting the youth to their rich cultural heritage.<br/><br/>Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra Chhagan Bhujbal, Transport Minister of Maharashtra Radha Krishna Vikhe Patil, Mumbai Mayor Shraddha Jadhav and Chief of Mahrashtra Kala Parihsad and MNS spokesperson Shirish Parkar also attended the three day meet. The 1st World Marathi Literature Forum was organized in California, during February, 2009.<br/><br/>
