Second round of talks between government and Gujjar leaders may begin today

In Rajasthan, second round of talks between the government and Gujjar leaders may begin today. The Gujjar leaders have agreed to form a delegation which will hold talks with the government’s representatives. This delegation is likely to be formed before noon today, after which the talks may take place. The Chief Minister has again appealed the Gujjar leaders to call off their agitation in the interest of people of Rajasthan. He said that in a democratic set up, every problem can be solved through mutual talks. Meanwhile, the Gujjar protestors have lifted their dharna from the railway tracks in Niwai, near Tonk, following which the Jaipur-Sawai Madhopur track has also been cleared. Train services on Jaipur -Delhi and Jaipur-Agra section have already been restored.
