The second phase of the crucial budget session of Odisha Legislative Assembly is beginning from today. The session is expected to be stormy from the first day as the opposition Congress and BJP have decided to attack the ruling BJD government over the large-scale irregularities in the purchase of pulses for the Mid-Day Meal (MDM) scheme and supplementary nutrition programme. Besides, the Naveen Patnaik Government is likely to be at the receiving end over the issue of abduction of Malkangiri district collector R Vineel Krishna by Maoists. The session will come to an end on April 8 next.
