The second phase of Mission Indradhanush to provide full immunization to children will be launched in 371 districts across the country on Wednesday. The mission aims at covering all those children who are either unvaccinated, or are partially vaccinated against seven life-threatening diseases of diphtheria, whooping cough, tetanus, polio, tuberculosis, measles and hepatitis B.<br/><br/>In addition, vaccination against Japanese Encephalitis and Haemophilus influenza type B will also be provided in selected districts.<br/><br/>Vaccination against tetanus will be provided to pregnant women. Children below the age of two years and pregnant women will be covered under the immunization drive.<br/><br/>AIR correspondent reports that in the first phase of Mission Indradhanush, two crore vaccines were given to more than 75.5 lakh children. Over 20 lakh pregnant women were vaccinated with tetanus.
