In Nepal, the second phase of Census 2011 began from today, with the President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav being registered as an ordinary person for the first time in the country’s century old long history. The Central Bureau of Statistics has deployed 46,000 enumerators for the 3,900 Village Development councils and fifty municipalities. During the ten day census respondents will have to answer a questionnaire on religion, caste, sex, ethnicity, third gender, migrant workers and more. The report will be made public after three months. Earlier in the first phase from May 16th to June 3rd the enumerators collected general information on number of households, number of family members and head of family and occupation.
