The Food Security Bill will be the focus of discussions in the second meeting of National Advisory Council headed by the UPA Chairperson Mrs. Sonia Gandhi in New Delhi on Wednesday. Mrs. Gandhi had earlier sought improvements in the draft Food Security Bill cleared by the Empowered Group of Ministers. Sources in the Council said that the bill to deal with communal violence will also figure prominently in the deliberations. The Council is expected to review the implementation of central flagship programmes and suggest improvements for better results. The 14-member National Advisory Council was constituted on first of this month with a mandate to advise the government on various social programmes including the rural development. <br/>
