The second and final phase of Census 2011 gathering the details of every resident of the country begins today. President Pratibha Devi Singh Patil released a postage stamp on Census 2011 at Rashtrapati bhawan on Tuesday evening. Home Minister P Chidambaram and Census Commissioner C. Chandramouli were among those present on the occasion. Addressing the gathering, Mr Chidambaram said the Census will reflect the socio – economic condition of the people. The nearly three-week-long exercise will end on 28th of this month providing a first-hand data on the demography and population of the country.
