In Karnataka, the Second edition of Bangaluru Space Expo is in progress in the state capital. It is drawing visitors from all walks of life. The conference today held discussions on ways to mitigate risk in the space business. S K Shivkumar, Director of ISRO Telemetry Tracking and Command Network spoke about the risk factors involved in the space business. He informed that ISRO has put in place risk mitigation process for its launch vehicles and satellites. Safety measures are taken to ensure that debris in space do not collide with the launch vehicles and orbiting satellites. More than 40 distinguished speakers from the World Space Agencies of US, UK, Canada, France and Russia are participating in the conference. Around 100 exhibitors from 10 countries have showcased their contribution to the Space Science in the three-day event.
