Second day of IFFI marked by glittering opening function of Indian Panorma

In Goa, the second day of the ongoing International Film Festival of India, IFFI was marked by a glittering opening function of the Indian Panorma and launch of Film Bazaar India by the National Film Development Corporation, NFDC. Leaving Home featuring the Indian Ocean band and Mee Sindhutai Sapkal were the opening films of Indian Panorama. Forty seven movies including 26 feature films will be screened in this section. Besides world class movies on celluloid, film lovers can also enjoy digital movies at IFFI. Three Indian movies will be competing for the coveted Golden Peacock award with fifteen films from across the world. The foreign section is one of the key highlights where a comprehensive package of films that made into Cannes festival has been included. The National Film Archive of India will be screening five Indian restored classic movies including one unique silent movie made in 1931. With 6000 delegates from around the globe and huge participation of the general public IFFI 2010 is already a huge success.
