Second ASEAN-India car rally flagged down at Guwahati

After covering around 8000km across nine countries, the second edition of ASEAN-India car rally was officially flagged down with a glittering function at Guwahati today.Organised by CII and the Ministry of External Affairs, the 22-day rally was flagged off from Yogyakarta, Indonesia. In the 21 days, the 124 participants passed through Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar before ending the epic journey Guwahati.The official flag down program started with a cultural dance performance showcasing the region's history.There was also a daredevil performance by panthers on wheels, which enthralled the packed crowd at the stadium.The Assam CM Tarun Gogoi said this rally will promote not only friendship, goodwill but also business and trade. He thanked CII, Prime Minister and Commerce and External Affairs Ministers and everybody for taking interest and making it a success.
