SEBI Cairman UK Sinha has said that the market regulator will shortly issue revised guidelines for listing agreement. Speaking to reporters in Mumbai, Mr. Sinha said that the listing guidelines are being changed into listing regulations so that they have more force of law. He added that SEBI is also working on new guidelines for prevention of insider trading and for delisting regulation.Mr. Sinha said that SEBI has been encouraging institutional investors, especially mutual funds, to have a voting policy and also disseminate their voting pattern on various resolutions on their websites. Earlier in the day, addressing a mutual fund summit in Mumbai, SEBI's whole-time member Prashant Saran had said the capital markets regulator is revamping the listing agreement in general, and Clause 36 in particular, to make it mandatory for corporates to disclose non-events for the benefit of investors and share-holders.
