Seat sharing formula between BJP and Janata Dal (U) yet to be finalised

In Bihar, seat sharing formula between BJP and Janata Dal (United ) are likely to be finalised in the next couple of days. State JD(U) chief Vijay Kumar Chaudhary said today that there has been no talks with BJP on the issue as yet. Till the seats are finalised, there will be no announcement of candidates. Sources said that the party in all likelihood would contest 28 out of 47 seats going to polls in first phase. JD( U) had contested 138 seats in the last Assembly elections in October 2005, leaving 103 for BJP. The two parties had friendly contest in two seats. Meanwhile, the core committee of the state BJP has been summoned by the party leadership in New Delhi today to finalize the names of the candidates for seating seats of the BJP.Senior BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi said the first exhaustive list of the BJP nominee would be released before September 27. He said names of the candidates for the rest seats would be declared in phases.
