Janta Dal (United) today said the seat sharing arrangement between BJP and JD-U will continue in Bihar in the forthcoming assembly elections. Talking to reporters after the conclusion of the Two Day National Executive meet in New Delhi, the Party Presidnet Mr Sharad Yadav said that the old arrangement of campaigning will also continue. Replying to a question Mr. Yadav hinted Narendra Modi and Varun Gandhi of the BJP will not be campaigning in the assembly elections.Reaching out to Minorities, the JD(U) had also sought a sub-plan for Muslims on lines of the tribal sub-plan to provide a dedicated fund for areas dominated by the community. It also sought implementation of Rangnath Mishra Commission report, which has recommended reservation for Muslims as well as Scheduled Caste status to Dalits among Christians and Muslims. The party passed a total of six resolutions in the last two days on political, centre-state relationship, corruption, foreign policy, achievements of the alliance government in last five years and the last seeking special state category for Bihar.It also sought implementation of Rangnath Mishra Commission report, which has recommended reservation for Muslims as well as Scheduled Caste status to Dalits among Christians and Muslims. The party resolution, while seeking special state status for Bihar, attacked the Centre alleging that it is not supporting the state adequately.
