Severe heat wave conditions continued to prevail at different places across India today. The highest maximum temperature recorded over the plains was 45.5 degree Celsius at Titlagarh in Odisha.<br/><br/>Day temperatures were markedly above normal in some parts of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, east Madhya Pradesh, Madhya Maharashtra, Telangana, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu, along with interior Karanataka and Kerala.<br/><br/>However, rains or thundershowers occurred at a few places in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura during the past 24 hours.<br/><br/>Meanwhile, a dust storm this afternoon brought relief to the National Capital, suffering under the hot weather conditions. <br/><br/>The dust storm brought down the mercury by two notches from 40 to 38 degrees Celsius and infused a bit of much needed pleasantness in the weather.
