Search ops on in flood-hit Leh

In Leh, search operation of missing persons in flood-affected areas is continuing for the nithth day today. The search operation team is using angle cutters, inflatable boot chainsaw, two sniffer dogs, bolt cutters and handsaw to find missing persons. Leh-Sringar national highway has been reopened for traffic restoring of all the bridges which had been washed away by the flood. On the other hand relief operation to flooded areas is going on. The District Administration is also taking support of MI-17 helicopters for distribution of relief materials to the affected people in the inaccessable areas. Restoration of road and places and other essential services are going on war-footing. Schools have started to reopen yesterday.
