In Lakshadweep, search operations for the six crew members of a mechanised sail vessel reported missing near Amini Island early Sunday morning has not yielded any result so far. Official sources in Amini said two vessels of the Coast Guard, a Dronier aircraft and another passenger cum cargo vessel Amin Divi have been pressed into the search operation, which is still continuing. The mechanised sail vessel carrying cargo from Mangalore, anchored near Amini Island was reported missing early this morning following heavy rain and strong winds that lashed across Lakshadweep last night. Five crew members of another mechanised sail vessel reported missing initially in Amini, was rescued by the local people.
