After marathon search operation of more than 50 hours NDRF teams recovered total 20 bodies from Savitri River. This river in Mahad town washed away a century-old British era bridge, taking with it two busses and few other vehicles with 42 passengers on Tuesday night. <br/><br/>AIR correspondent reports that NDRF teams recovered 6 more bodies today. Taking total number of recovered bodies to 20. 14 bodies were recovered yesterday. Bodies are found at various places in Ratnagiri and Raigad Districts on both the banks of the river and also on beaches near the place where this river meets Arabian Sea. <br/><br/>No bus or car is yet recovered from the river. Rescue work which was resumed again today at 6 in the morning is in full swing now. Heavy Duty Crane is searching for missing Busses and Cars with the help of Magnet. NDRF jawans have also laid fishing nets in the river to stop bodies flowing away with water current.<br/><br/>Some fishermen today came from Malvan and Revas with their equipment's. They are also helping NDRF in search operation. These fishermen have offered there services voluntarily.<br/><br/>Fish Finder equipment brought by these Fishermen is now used to search bodies in water.<br/><br/>NDRF, Navy, Coast Guard Jawans and these fishermen are searching for bodies in 150 kilometres stretch of this river. <br/><br/>With the help of 16 Boats and 4 Helicopters but again heavy rain started from morning. Because of this water level increased by 6 feet. High tide started from 2 P.M. This may create problems in search operations.
