Search for missing Afghan passenger plane continues

Afghan passenger plane carrying 43 people, including six foreigners, is missing since this morning. The search for the flight is continuing. The flight was on route from northern town of Kunduz to capital Kabul. Kunduz governor told media that the plane was carrying 43 people including five crew members. There was no immediate word on casualties. Rescuers were on their way to the site near the 12,700-foot-high Salang Pass, where the plane lost contact. Colonel Wayne Shanks, a spokesman for US and NATO forces, said the international force had sent aircraft to help in the search.
