In Kerala, search for the three missing fishermen allegedly involved in collision between a fishing boat and an unidentified merchant vessel off the coast of Alappuzha are continuing. The collision took place on Thursday in which two fisherman lost their lives. Two ships from the Navy, a Dornier aircraft and a Chetak helicopter on board INS Sarvekshak are participating in the operations by the Navy, while five ships and three aircraft were pressed into service by the Coast Guard.Efforts to identify the vessel were also made, with information from the various surveillance systems of Maritime Rescue Coordination Centre at Mumbai and other agencies like the Cochin Port. Steps taken in this regard were not successful so far.
