SC's verdict on coal blocks a bit harsh: ASSOCHAM<br/>

Industry bodies say that the Supreme Courts decision to cancel coal block allocation will impact power generation capacity in the country. Speaking to AIR, ASSOCHAM Secretary General D S Rawat said today&apos;s decision is bit harsh and it will negatively impact the economy. He also said that nearly four hundred crore rupees investment has gone into coal blocks and it will also impact over five lakh families.Chief Economic Advisor of PHD chamber, S P Sharma said that the power sector is already in the doldrum and this decision will further aggravate power crises.
