Scrutiny of nominations underway for 234 assembly constituencies in Tamil Nadu

<span style="color: #222222;">In Tamil Nadu nominations filed for the 234 Assembly constituencies are being scrutinized today. March 22nd is the last date for withdrawal for the single phase polling on April 6th.  AIR correspondent reports, a total of 7,176 contestants including 1059 women and three transgenders filed their nominations yesterday. </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> <br />''A maximum of 97 contestants filed their nominations for the Karur constituency followed by 73 in Mettur and 58 in Kangeyam constituency.  District electoral officers are organizing many awareness events for the 100 percent polling. Political parties have intensified their election campaign in the State. <br />''</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">AIADMK Joint Coordinator and Chief Minister Edapadi K.Palanisamy is campaigning in Kallakurichi and Villupuram districts, DMK President M. K. Stalin is  campaigning in Thirunelveli and Madurai districts, Tamil Nadu Congress President K.S.Azhagiri is campaigning in Chennai and CPI(M) State Secretary K.Balakrishnan  is campaigning in Dindigul district.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">With more than 1000 people tested positive for Covid-19 in the State, people have been asked to follow the regulations strictly. Health department is also holding special vaccination camps in all the Districts. </span><br />''
