Scrutiny of nominations is underway in 64 constituencies spread over seven states which will go to the polls in the eighth phase of Lok Sabha elections on 7th May.

The Constituencies are Andhra Pradesh 25, Bihar 7, Himachal Pradesh all 4, Jammu and Kashmir 2, Uttar Pradesh 15, Uttarakhand all 5 and West Bengal 6. Scruitiny is also taking place for 175 Assembly segments in Andhra Pradesh which will go to polls on 7th May along with Lok Sabha elections in the state.

Wednesday will be the last day for withdrawals for the Lok Sabha as well as Andhra Pradesh Assembly seats in this phase.

Meanwhile, filing of nominations is on in 41 Lok Sabha constituencies,18 in Uttar Pradesh,17 in West Bengal and six in Bihar, where polling will take place in the ninth and last phase of Lok Sabha elections on 12th May.
