In Gujarat, scrutiny of nomination papers for the first phase of Assembly elections will be taken up today. The filing of nominations ended last evening. A total 1703 candidates have filed their papers for this phase of polling. <br/><br/>The last date of withdrawal is Friday. The polling will be held in 89 Assembly constituencies of Kutch, Saurashtra and South Gujarat on 9th December in this first phase.
