A team of key scientists from Symbiosis Centre for Nanoscience & Nanotechnology (SCNN), and Symbiosis School of Biological Sciences, Pune, have developed a technology based on the novel compound synthesized in the laboratory which is an antimicrobial coating. The scientists believe that technology will successfully reduce SARS-CoV-2 load and if found to be active then it can be used to coat Personal Protective Equipment's (PPEs) kit materials such as masks, gowns, gloves, face shields used by medical staff.
