Scientists have identified a faulty gene responsible for migraine. They claim the finding could pave the way for new and more effective treatments for the extremely painful condition. An international team, led by Oxford University, has found a gene, called Tresk, in families of migraine sufferers. The gene on becoming defective, can trigger pain nerves in the brain and even cause a severe headache.
