Children Science Congress is organised as part of National Science Congress that was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi yesterday.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> <br />'' Prof. C N R Rao said, there are crores of children in villages and many have extraordinary minds, who can be great scientists given an opportunity. He pointed out that dedication, doggedness and tenacity are qualities of being a good scientist. Right mind and hard work are more essential than the degree and money to succeed in Science. </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"><br />'' Citing the example of Russian Chemist Dmitri Mendeleev who published the first periodic table in 1869, he said that Dmitri came from a very poor background. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Speaking about C V Raman, who is well known for finding the Raman effect, Prof Rao said that he had published two research papers at the age of 16. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He also cited the example of J C Bose another scientist from India who discovered telegram before Marconi. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Nobel Laureate Ada Yonath recalled her association with Indian scientist G N Ramachandran and asked children to develop curiosity and pursue their dreams.</span><br />''  <br />
