An American scientist and his wife have been indicted for allegedly trying to pass nuclear weapons secrets to Venezuela. The couple had worked as contractors at the nuclear research centre in Mexico. They were arrested after a sting operation in which classified data on nuclear weapons was passed to an FBI agent, whom they believed was a Venezuelan government official.
