Union Science and Technology and Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan today said the Scientific Social Responsibility is the need of the hour to realize the new India vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. <br />'' <br />'' Addressing scientists and officials of CSIR laboratories in Hyderabad, he asked them to work in a proactive and out of box way to reduce sufferings of people, especially those who are with rare and genetic diseases. <br />'' <br />'' He asked scientists to work in a focused manner so that the results of the research will reach people. <br />'' <br />'' He termed the Ayushman Bharat programme of the Central Government as a successful model in implementing universal health. <br />'' <br />'' Dr Vardhan said 1.5 lakh wellness centers will be made available in the country and out of which, 20 thousand will be completed by the end of the current year. He said the states which are not implementing the Ayushman Bharat Programme will be persuaded. <br />'' <br />'' The minister further said the government has set a target of eradicating Tuberculosis from the country by 2025, while the World set the target as 2030.<br />'' <br />'' Dr Harsh Vardhan also informed that the new National Medical Council Bill will be introduced in Parliament on Monday. <br />''
