Former President and eminent space scientist Dr APJ Abdul Kalam has said that science has immense potential to strengthen the nation on different speheres of life. Inaugurating Childrens' Science Congress at Thirvanathapuram he opined that the aim of science should be to provide at least minimum amenities to the common man of the country.<br/><br/>Addressing thousands of students from across the country at the Childrens' Science Congress Dr A PJ Abdul Kalam urged them to dream big and nurture curiosity. Recalling the dedication of the pioneers of science , he asked the students not to get bogged down by hurdles. Dr Kalam told more than 4000 students from all states that the world of science offers immense opportunity and satisfaction. In his speech the father of India's missile programme praised the achievements of ISRO in finding presence of water on lunar surface. Space Summit, public lectures and the mega exhibition of ISRO and DRDO has drawn huge response from scientists and public on the second day of the Indian Science Congress.
