The Science Express-biodiversity special train has reached Madurai in Tamil Nadu today. The train will be kept for public viewing at Madurai Kudal Nagar railway station from 10 Am to 6 PM till 19th of this month.
The train has thirteen airconditioned compartments which depicts aspects of climate change, water, energy conservation, environment and legacy of Science Express. This is the fifth phase of the science exhibition train which will halt at 52 railway stations all over India. In the fifth phase, Science Express has been launched as Science Express Biodiversity special. This train will halt at 52 railway stations all over the country for public viewing.The first phase of Science Express was flagged off on 30th October, 2007 from New Delhi by Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh and German Chancellor Dr Angela Merkel.
