Well known science broadcaster Sumangala Mummigatti who worked as Programme Executive in All India Radio, Bengaluru passed away early this morning today. She is the recipient of the Radio Oscar International award for her series of radio programmes on climate change and ecology.<br />” <br />” A book titled Introduction to Science and Technology published by her had received critical acclaim. She has to her credit over 40 scripts on varied science subjects and produced several hundred programmes on science. Having close relations with ISRO, she had produced several programmes on space science. Suffering from Cancer, she breathed her last in Bengaluru today. She is survived by a son and husband who also works in AIR, Bengaluru. Her last rites will be performed in the afternoon today.
