Schools for rescued child labourers commences in WB

In West Bengal residential schools for educating children rescued from child labour, have started functioning in five districts. Disclosing this, the State Labour Minister, Mr. Anadi Sahu said that nineteen more districts will have such schools soon. The Minister was inaugurating a discussion programme on awareness against child labour. Mr. Sahu said that the District Magistrates have been asked to finish all formalities by March next year. He said, children will study in such schools till 14 years of age, before being merged into the mainstream of education. <br/><br/>
