School building constructed with India aid inaugurated in Nepal

In Nepal, India’s Ambassador to Nepal Mr. Rakesh Sood, inaugurated the newly constructed school building for Shree Saraswati Secondary School, Beladevipur in Kailali District on Wednesday. The building has been constructed with Government of India grant assistance of 3.33 crore Nepali rupees under the Nepal-India Economic Cooperation Programme. In his address, Mr. Sood underlined the importance of India-Nepal Cooperation Programme and expressed the hope that various developments projects being implemented under the programme would help the people of Nepal in their stride towards peace and prosperity. Established in 1969 as a primary school, Shree Saraswati Secondary School, is situated in Beladevipur which is 12 km from Dhanghadi, district headquarter of Kailali. In order to upgrade the physical infrastructure of the school, Government of India has provided the grant assistance for construction of three storied school building and provision of furniture. According to a Press Release, the new infrastructure will help in the creation of better facilities for over 1200 students, about half of whom are girls.
