Tribal affairs Union minister for tribal affairs Kantilal Bhuria has said that the amount of scholarships given by his ministry would be doubled soon. Talking to media persons in Bhopal on Sunday he said that increase in amount of scholarships is essential in the wake of price rise and tribal affairs ministry will also ask state governments to follow the suit. Mr. Bhuria said Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh has okayed a proposal to set up central tribal advisory council and PM will be chairman of the council. He also said that union women and child development ministry, home ministry and tribal affairs ministry will work jointly to further development process in tribal areas and check influence of naxalism. <br/>
