Managing Director and CEO of Punjab National Bank, PNB Sunil Mehta has said that the scam in the bank was first detected by its officials at first in 2011 and they had reported it to the concerned agencies. He said, the Bank is taking efforts to protect the financial interest. Mr Mehta said, PNB has complained about its 2 staff members too apart from the customer. He said, they have informed SEBI and all the lenders about it being in line with the clean banking system. Mr Mehta said, they will honour all the bona fide commitments.
